I’m into throwing knives, but I don’t want to buy them online. The last set I got online were crap. What stores would you find Throwing Knives at?

If you are near a Military Surplus store or flea market, you will find some knives that you can put your hands on and buy. I will sometimes pick up knives from either, but more often I simply shop there to find what I want and then buy it online cheaper.

I wound encourage you to rethink about buying them online. Whether you buy them in person or online, the quality will vary greatly. Look for either known brands or brands/knives with good reviews. I also find that sites and stores that carry books on throwing Knives generally carry better knives, but any store that carries high end throwing knives will also carry lower end ones too.

Online recommendation for an online store is: http://www.extremely-sharp.com/throwing-knives/

They also carry a few of the books that I read when I was learning
Knife and Tomahawk Throwing by Harry McEvoy
http://www.extremely-sharp.com/knife-and-tomahawk-throwing-by-harry-mcevoy.html
and a few Hibben books.

Did you try the PX? I used to be stationed in Hanau (on Fliegerhorst) and I remember going to the PX and seeing a store that had a bunch of Knives and stuff in it. On the second floor. If that’s not there anymore, look around downtown Hanau or Frankfurt.

Sharpening a hunting knife requires making sure the blade is thin enough to sharpen, obtaining a sharpening stone and pulling the knife straight across the stone. Second single from “Amnesiac” (2001), by Radiohead.

Directed by Michel Gondry.

This video has a very low quality because it was uploaded long before YouTube has the HIGH QUALITY feature. If you want a better quality video, check out this link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dU3_oC6kJLY

The whole video was shot in one take in the same set (quite remarkable considering the scene changes required).

Director Michel Gondry said the video was autobiographical, about himself and a girlfriend once he had. However, Thom Yorke said the lyrics were about cannibalism.

This video features Emma de Caunes as Thom’s girlfriend.

The video tryed to interpret the surreal imagery and fit it with the song lyrics. Nevertheless, Radiohead vetoed this video from the Director’s DVD release because it was about Gondry’s personal life and loosely based on the song.

The song was developed during the 18-month Kid A and Amnesiac sessions, and it is legendary for supposedly “having taken 373 days to record”. Although “Knives Out” is not similar to Radiohead’s earlier rock style as featured on The Bends (1995), it is usually noted as one of the most traditional guitar songs the band has done since 2000.

L Y R I C S

I want you to know
He’s not coming back
Look into my eyes
I’m not coming back

So knives out
Catch the mouse
Don’t look down
Shove it in your mouth

If you’d been a dog
They would’ve drowned you at birth

Look into my eyes
It’s the only way you’ll know I’m telling the truth

So knives out
Cook him up
Squash his head
Put him in the pot

I want you to know
He’s not coming back
He’s bloated and frozen
Still there’s no point in letting it go to waste

So Knives out
Catch the mouse
Squash his head
Put him in the pot
