The motto of Ralph Thorn’s school of combat knife throwing is Any knife, any angle, any position; no games, no gimmicks, no limits. In this groundbreaking video production from Paladin Press, he proves it, teaching you a truly combative style of weapons throwing that isn’t based on figuring out exact distances and numbers of spins and half-spins. In fact, Thorn has mastered a no-spin throwing style that cuts through the myth and hokum to show that there’s no mystery or complexity to knife throwing: all you need are a few knives, a target, and some practice. Relying on gross motor skills, Thorn shows you how to throw not only Knives and swords, but also improvised weapons: if it has a point, you can get it to stick consistently and accurately. Using state-of-the-art computer graphics and super-slow-motion videography, you will learn the mechanics of the no-spin throw, the powerful sidearm throw for close-range fighting, the underhand half-spin throw, the shuriken throw for long-distance attacks and much more. Thorn also shows various trick throws, including blindfolded throwing, behind-the-back knife tosses and throwing accurately while going at a dead run.

My first knife review. Not an expert by any means, but I have gotten too much use out of this knife to have not at least talked about it on camera.

Fishing is a very relaxing and enjoyable way to spend a quiet day or two. But beginners to this great sport and pastime usually concentrate on learning how to fish. Usually that would be an admirable quality, and I thoroughly recommend it for other beginners as well. But learning how to fish is not the be-all and catch-all; you also have to know what to do after you’ve caught your fish.

Yes, folks, you do have to clean and gut your fish. I understand that for a few, this would seem like a chore they’d want to avoid, but for me it’s just an integral part of fishing and of life in the outdoors in general. You caught it, you clean it. And if you want to learn how to properly clean your fish, I’ve provided some essential tips in this article just for you.

There are several ways to clean a fish. The easiest way would be to lay it on its side and cut from the gills to the backbone using a sharp knife. it, or if you prefer, you can just cook the fish until the skin starts to peel away. When you remove the The entrails will just come right out when you snap and pull out the head. Then you have to cut along the belly from the gills down to the vent. The vent is the tiny anal opening near the tail of the fish. Scrape the backbone inside the fish to remove the blood vein. You can then rinse it with running cold water and skin skin, the dorsal fin will easily follow.

You can also clean a fish by rinsing it first with cold water and removing the scales. Remember though, that not all fish need to be de-scaled. Now, how would you know if your fish needs to be de-scaled or not? It’s easy. Just lay your fish flat on the cleaning surface, then use the dull edge of a knife to stroke or de-scale the fish from the tail to the head. Use short strokes and position the knife at around a 90-degree angle. Now look at the scales. If they are big and flat, then your fish needs de-scaling.

After removing its scales, cut it from the gills to the vent. Open it up and remove the entrails by hand. Scrape along the backbone to remove the blood vein. You can use a spoon or even your thumbnail to do this. Wash your fish thoroughly with cold water. Now, if you’re planning on cooking the fish whole, then you have to remove its dorsal fin. Cut the fish along both sides of its dorsal fin and pull with a pair of pliers. Wash the fish again and you’re done.

A few more things to remember. Before cleaning your fish, wash it first using cold running water; tap water if possible. Do not wash your fish in the lake or river if you can help it. Always use sharp Knives for cleaning your fish, and always be careful when using knives. When you want to store fish in a cooler filled with ice, make sure that the fish does not lie around in the melted ice water. Place the fish so that the water drains away from it, and the cavity must face down as well. This is to avoid having water pool inside the fish.

Now you know how to clean a fish. I have also written an article teaching beginners how to bone and skin their fish, so if you need any tips with that, feel free to read it. Enjoy fishing!

I’m trying to master the throwing knife in Modern Warfare 2. What type of primary weapon should I use that goes best with the throwing knife? Also, do you have any tips for getting better in throwing Knives in MW2?

The gun really doesn’t matter if you want to move faster to get behind people use a sub-machine gun or maybe you want to catch them off guard and charge them with a riot shield and when they see you they might want to run away and that’s when you get them!

hey i am a 14 year old boy, birthday in April. and my parents HATE my knife and my sword, that is why they took it away. does anyone know how i would be able to get some for my collection. i also want to use them for when i go camping or just for everyday carry.

I recommend not carrying any sort of weapon, unless a. You live in a REALLY rough neighborhood, or b. Actually need them for a profession or hobby i.e. Fishing or camping. You are only 14, your parents are doing the right thing, it’s for your own protection, you never know what a moment of anger or carelessness will do to your life, so just play it safe OK man? I used to be like that and play with stick and all that crap when I was younger but I realize my parents just said it because they didn’t want me or anybody else to be missing an eye, listen to me man, don’t be stubborn, you don’t want to ruin your life over something stupid. TRUST ME.

Or do you need to be able to hum the melody?
I don’t want to get too picky, but no, I wasn’t thinking about techno really…that’s pretty "clean" sounding to me…maybe Merzbow would qualify.
Beck is very melodic, I think he’s great…

kinda, but i prefer music that sounds like nails on a chalkboard… nothing sounds cooler to me then feedback from an amplifier and distortion LOTS of distortion…

Little spots of rust get on Knives when they sit after washed if you don’t have a dish drainer.
Can anyone give me any ideas on what to use to remove them please?

Gently rub them with a piece of steel wool. (One piece goes a long way!) Since they are eating utensils, I would not use any "rust remover" products. Another thing, as soon as you have washed and rinsed your knives, go ahead and dry them off. Don’t let them set there with water on them. (Anytime I wash a knife that has a wooden handle, I immediately dry them off. Makes them last many years!) Good luck!

I bought these cool looking real throwing knives at my local flea market. They are very sharp and can be dangerous. Are they illegal? I know someone who was arrested for carrying brass knuckles.

How about BB guns? Are they illegal to carry with you for protection even if its real looking??
From Houston, TX. Harris County

Each state has different laws on throwing knives. And each state, county, and city can have different laws on BB guns.

In many states, it is a felonly to own Throwing Knives, non-rubber nun chucks, etc. In California its is less of a crime to have a loaded gun in your pocket than to just own nunchucks(fighting sticks).

Edit:
From an internet search it does not appear to be illegal. But they are banned in schools.

Edit: Using CGIV76’s definition then throwing Knives are illegal to carry.
"Article 338. [318] If any person in this state shall carry on orcarrying arms.(Amended by about his person, saddle, or in his saddle-bags, any pistol, dirk, dagger, slung-shot, sword-cane, spear, or knuckles made of any metalor any hard substance, bowie-knife, or any other knife manufacturedor sold for purposes of offense or defense, he shall be punished byfine of not less than twenty-five nor more than two hundred dollars,or by imprisonment in the county jail not less than ten nor more than thirty days, or both, by such fine and imprisonment; and during the time of such imprisonment such offender may be put towork upon any public work in the county in which said offense is committed."
