can anyone suggest what kind of knife is good for camping or bushcraft?

Specifically i’m looking for a single edge knife that holds an edge.

Any number of decent manufacturers out there. Gerber, Case, Camillus, etc. Are you wanting a folder or fixed blade? Figure out what your needs are, and the answer will be easier. Good luck!

A real Swiss Army knife (Wegner or Victorinox).

I have had a Gerber for years. The composite blade and strong rubberised grip make for a great knife. It is strong durable and all around solid!
