    @virtuovice I am glad it worked well for you my friend. Each quality knife is special in its own way, and I am glad to see my knives in such beautiful landscape. One day I will try to visit you there :)

    @nehpyh What you say is totally correct. In this case I selected this place very easily for a tent because there was no place without rocks other than this place and the weather chart said the atmospheric pressure would be stable. I sometimes do an easy way like this. I must take care. Thank you.

    When I was a young and inexperienced boy scout, I was told not to camp too near the river for fear of flash floods :C

    @bushcraftmyway …
    @bushcraftmyway Thank you. What you say is correct. But this river is very close to my house and I check up the weather forecast and chart before the camp. So in this case I prefer comfort and usefulness. There are few places to make a tent without rocks in this river, so I usually make a tent close to the river. When I camp for a couple of days, I will make a tent far from the river. I have ever experienced the heavy rain and flood, so that I had to stay there 2 days more than the schedule.

    great video, as usual! i am, however, concerned about the camp site: you put the tent right into the river bed. if it rains upstream the river will flood that area without any warning, and the tent can act in these circumstances as a death trap. please stay safe and keep posting!

    @metanon2010 During this camping I had got many insect bites and now they itch very much. The insects were active in the evening and I put anti insect chemicals on my skin but it was not effective at all. They seem to be the same as gnats and horseflies in America. Thank you.

    Great video as always. And beautiful surroundings! A question: Do you have insects in the area? What types? How do you deal with them? Oh, that’s three questions. : )

    @traderjoes The brown bears live only in the north island of Japan, while black bears live only in the main island. As you say the sudden encounter will cause his attack and this season 2 people were killed in the north island.
    The plant is “Elatostema umbellatum”, and I think you can google it. Thank you.

    Yes, L6 is very good steel and Kyley can really get that edge hair splitting sharp. He us very fair to deal with and takes care of his customers. The prices he charges are very reasonable and for hand made stuff, you can’t beat it. Are brown bears more aggressive than black? I know all bears will attack if startled and that’s why you use the bells and fireworks. What was the name of that plant you cooked in the ramen in the first video? It looked good!

    @traderjoes Many thanks. I love CKC knives very much as you. His edge is extraordinarily keen and easy to restore on the leather strop. Its stropping makes lots of joy to me. In the north island of Japan there live many brown bears, which are smaller than American brown bears. The mountains are deep enough for bears to live peacefully.

    @johniac7078 Thank you. What you say should be the reason why I have never been out of Hokkaido (the north island of Japan) for 20 years at all.

    Another awesome video! Too bad someone moved the steering wheel to the wrong side of the car while you were gone though!
    I was going to say that the CKC Hunter did a better job of the sashimi than the Fallkniven, but you said it yourself. Japan looks a lot like where I live in some respects, but it seems much cleaner there, less people too, which is nice when you want to connect with nature. The bear bells are a good idea! How big do the bears get there? Are they brown or black?

    @virtuovice Wow sounds and from what I have seen like a really cool place. I love camping in places where few people ever visit and there are no real trails to. Haha yes, I could see bears being a motivator for some people to go camping elsewhere.

    @An0nEeMouse Yes, I am allowed to carry knives under 6 inch blade and a pepper spray for camping, hunting, fishing, and mountaineering. For fishing I don’t need a license in natural rivers. Thank you.
