Thomas, relax!!! …
Thomas, relax!!! There is no lying here. I am a knife designer for 21 years and completely designed the SwingBlade handle, blade, lock mechanism and sheath. Your wood handle Kombi-knife is a completely different design. This video is a TV spot for the US market where EKA is not a well known brand. You are also wrong that I did not buy the rights from EKA as the SwingBlade is a collaboration.

You are correct …
You are correct that the SwingBlade is made is China and the overall quality, grinding, sharpness and edge retention is as good if not better than your knife. It sure works a lot better with the lock so you really should go out and buy a new SwingBlade. Also note that EKA has recently closed their factory in Sweden, so all EKA knives in the future will be imported from Asia. David Bloch

Outdoor Edge bought …
Outdoor Edge bought the rights to distribute the SwingBlade in North America from EKA Knives of Sweden, who were the original creators of this knife. EKA has been making amazing knives for more than 125 years… for David Bloch to say that he “DEVELOPED” this knife is an OUTRIGHT LIE!!! I have the original EKA knife that comes with a wooden handle – it’s amazing knife. Unlike the original, the Outdoor Edge SwingBlade is now made in China.
