apparently some websites sell counterfeit crkt knives so i was just wondering.

What kind of knives are you looking for – hunting or household or other? I was pleasantly surprised by http://www.overstock.com and got a great set of steak knives $20 for my daughter and a set for myself. You might still try Overstock. Sometimes they really surprise you.
