Just wondering, doesn’t seem like I’m doing anything wrong.
Oh and I live in Illinois by the way.
In Illinois it is illegal to throw a shuriken anywhere, much less in your front yard where an errant throw could kill someone. You’d be better off playing this game in your padded basement. Make sure all your pets are upstairs!
Can I get in trouble if I throw shurikens and throwing knives at my tree in the front?

If you live close to other houses and/or people are walking by then this is a TERRIBLE idea. At the very least you might hit someone. You might frighten someone who calls the cops.
Set up a target in your basement if you really feel the need to throw sharp objects.

Only if the Shutikens and knives are outlawed in Ill. The act of throwing them at an inanimate object owned by you is not illegal.

It depends on what the law says. If your state law says they are illegal to own. Then you can get into very serious trouble.
If a person wanders by and gets hit. You could end up in prison for assult with a deadly weapon, even if it was an accident. Worse… it could be a charge of manslaughter.
If you have to throw them, buy a dart board or go out back where you may be less likely to injure somebody.

Yes. Once they leave you hand they are UFOs (Uncontrolled Flying Objects). You become liable if a ricochet or miss strikes an object or a person. This activity is best done in a safe area for everyone.
