He’s 6, but an old 6. Very mature. Good arm.
Go for it!!! Give him a cat for target practice. Or an apple on top of your head!
How early is too early to introduce my toddler to medium to large sized throwing knives?

At 6, he is no longer a toddler. I think most circus performers start training their kids around that age if not earlier, but I don’t think they use sharp knives to start. I’ve seen some pretty good 8 year olds.
I would suggest that others have done this before you and can give you advice on teaching a 6 year old. Here’s a link that links to some throwing clubs.

start with dull soft foam knives. When he’s got that really good you can try dull hard foam knives. From there you can consider moving up to dull wooden knives (he’d have to be reallly really good). Unless he’s practicing like mad that should take a year or so to get good at (throwing knives is very hard–to get them to land point into the target). At 7 years old you MIGHT consider letting him try dull metal practice knives–IF he’s shown superior skill with the other knives. Regardless of how good he gets–remember not to let him bring even the foam knives to school–most schools have a zero tolerance policy. Also, make sure he knows even the dull foam knives don’t get thrown anywhere but at the target–not at friends or animals–even if it won’t hurt them it’s good to install that early on.

Your child is already 6 years old, and he hasn’t been introduced to throwing knives at all?
I think you should go to the American Academy of Pediatrics site to read up on developmental delays.
My daughter showed interest by the time she could roll over. By two, she had a pretty accurate left arm.
There’s still hope for your son. Perhaps your local school system has special classes for delayed kids.
Either way, I (and I’m sure many others) will be rooting for the little tyke.

Sorry but you are too late. If he were only 5 you may be able to but now that he is 6 he needs to go straight into chainsaw throwing.
You should be disgusted in yourself for not doing it earlier.

You should probably be more worried about his aim not his arm.
