Here I am throwing a cheap ebay throwing knife (when i first got it, it was IMPOSSIBLE to throw). A steak knife without the handle since Ive thrown it so much, and finally a huge chef knife that is definitely not made for throwing, but people always seem to throw them in the movies. Go figure!

I find that the longer the knife the better. 8 inches is ideal, but 7 should be ok. When the knife is shorter it spins faster so you generally need to be closer to throw the half spin.
